In this video, we’ll guide you through how to use Tosca Log Monitoring for advanced debugging by capturing network and console logs.
1) The Start HTML Log Monitoring module lets you track console or network logs while debugging your application. This feature is compatible with Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge browsers. To steer your application via XBrowser, ensure both the Start and Stop HTML Log Monitoring modules are in the same TestCase.
Attributes:
Title: Caption of the browser window you want to steer. Use * to match any title.
URL: URL of the browser window you want to steer (e.g., http://support.tricentis.com).
Window Index: Index of the browser window to steer. Values can be an integer (referring to the opening time, not visual order) or last (referring to the last opened window).
Log Type: Type of log monitoring (Console logs or Network logs).
2) The Stop HTML Log Monitoring module stops tracking the console or network logs you started and retrieves the monitoring data. This feature is also compatible with Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge browsers. Ensure both the Start and Stop HTML Log Monitoring modules are in the same TestCase.

Log File Path: Location to save report files with log entries. Generates plain text files for Console logs and JSON files for Network logs.
