error: File: \Boot\BCD, Status: 0xc000000f. Info: The Boot Configuration Data for your PC is missing or contains errors.
Operating system: Windows 10
Cause of error: bootmgr is the boot file for the Windows operating system. The bootmgr file is usually stored on the "System Reserved" drive or on the "C drive". If a drive is stored inside the bootmgr file, the partition status is "active", but if the partition state is "inactive", an error "File: \Boot\BCD. Status: 0xc000000f." Will occur.
Solution:
1. Create a Windows 10 bootable USB flash disk.
2. Insert the Windows 10 bootable USB flash, restart the computer and boot from the USB DISK.
3. Next, go to the "Repair your computer" menu
4. Troubleshoot, Advanced options, Command Prompt.
5. In the Command Prompt, enter the command:
diskpart
list disk (displays a list of disks)
select disk 0 (Disk 0 = hard disk, Disk 1 = USB flash disk)
list partition (display the hard disk partition table)
select partition 1 (usually the bootmgr file is in partition 1)
active (set the partition state to active)
6. Close Command Prompt and Exit and continue to Windows 10. Done.
