Critical drug shortages are threatening the lives of kids with cancer

Each year, some 16,000 kids are diagnosed with cancer. The majority of them can survive with a carefully constructed cocktail of life-saving drugs.

But Spotlight on America has discovered a devastating reality: many of those drugs have been in short supply for more than a decade - haunting parents and jeopardizing the lives of their children. And despite Congress and other stakeholders being long-aware of the problem, there are still no solutions in place.

We've been reporting for months about the crisis in the cancer community: chemotherapy drugs in short supply, with life and death consequences for adult patients. The heartbreaking new layer is threatening the lives of children.
