1.6 Heat Capacities (2/2) (Thermal Physics) (Schroeder)
When the system is undergoing a phase transformation, the temperature will remain constant and so the heat capacity is undefined. However, we can track the latent heat which is how much heat is required to fully change the system. We also introduce the concept of Enthalpy, which is the heat capacity at constant pressure.
