This is a short comparison between the two territories that wound up on the wrong side of the border, both trying to join a neighboring state of their ethnicity. Both are the long term consequencies of the break-up of the Soviet Union. The key question is: Why did Armenian Prime Minster recongnize Nagorno-Karaback as belonging to Azerbaijan after saying it was part of Armenia forever?
