This is a brief presentation of my new book that came out in November 2023 with Routledge. It deals with crucial moments in Soviet Russian history focussin on the problem of identity: Who did the Russians think they were? Where were they going and why? How did they define themselves and their country and their system in relation to their past their present and their future in relation to their neighbors in the West.
