Florida estate planning and probate attorney Steve Kramer talks about what happens if you die and you did not leave a will.

A last will and testament is a document in which you control how your assets are divided in the event of your death. Typically these assets are given to family members and other loved ones.

But if you died without preparing a will, how these assets get divided is determined by the government. Your assets are placed in probate and have to go through certain channels in laws to see how and where the assets get divided amongst family. Even if those who loved you knew you wanted some things to go to your family and some to go to charity, without a will the government has no choice but to make these decisions and your wishes may not be carried out.

Probate and estate planning is a very personal and delicate matter that you should absolutely have a say in. You need to speak to an experienced probate attorney today to ensure your affairs are in order for your family. Watch the video now to learn more.
