How to Disable YouTube Restricted Mode on Android or iOS in 2024

To turn off restricted mode on the YouTube mobile app, first open the YouTube app on your device. Then tap your profile icon in the top right corner. Select Settings. Now tap General. Then tap the switch labeled Restricted Mode to disable this feature. When the switch turns from blue to gray, Restricted Mode has been turned off. Note that this will only disable restricted mode for this YouTube account on this specific device, so if you’re signed in on other devices as well, you will have to separately turn off restricted mode on those devices.
