Mobile Home Floor Repair for Under $50
I fixed my mobile home floor with 2x4 wood and a lot of patience and ingenuity! I spent less than the cost of one sheet of plywood to replace the flooring in this singlewide! I did not have floors under any of my cabinets or closets and now I do. I am also fixing the bathroom floor at the same time and will show the progress on that in upcoming videos. I did it, I finally did it! It is done, now I just have to redo our entire kitchen cabinet system! We have this huge peninsula cabinet that is angled at one side. It is 8' long and 3 feet wide with a bar area! The inside of the cabinet, since it is homemade is actually smaller than normal cabinet dimensions and did I mention that the cabinet is bigger one one side than it is on the other by one inch? It's going to be impossible to buy new cabinets for it, but I have a great idea that I will be trying! I am going to try to make sliding doors with pull out shelves and cabinets! This is going to be an all wood cabinet made of real wood so it will last! It may end up not being pretty but it will certainly be way more functional than it was before. Plus, it won't smell bad like a rotten floor and rotten cabinets do! This is a total budget remodel and floor repair and I believe anyone could do this to replace flooring under a cabinet that has rotted away - especially in a mobile home!
