How to Create a Facebook Account in 2025

To create a Facebook account, open your preferred browser on your computer, smartphone or tablet and go to Facebook.com. Then click Create New Account. Enter your first and last name, your email address or cell phone number, and a password you’d like to use. Then use the drop-down menus to select your month, date and year of birth, and indicate your gender. When you’re done, click Sign Up. To confirm your account creation, check your inbox for the email address or mobile phone number you used to sign up to find a message from Facebook. You will either have a link to confirm, or a code to enter to confirm creation of your account.
Now that you’ve created your Facebook account, you can customize your profile with a profile picture and cover photo, add personal information like where you live, your occupation, where you went to school, and more. Then you’re ready to start connecting with people you know.
