In today's video, I'm talking about why constructive criticism is an essential part of an artist's journey, how to tell constructive criticism from criticism that isn't helpful, how to know if you should even listen to the feedback, and a few points that have helped me move past negative experiences quickly so that I can devote my energy/focus to the work I know I need to be doing.
Throughout the last few years that I've been consistently putting myself out there (both locally and online), I've learned a few things about handling people's feedback and even trolls who're simply looking to put me down.
This one goes out especially for you guys who're starting to put your work out there, or who maybe are a bit fearful of doing so because you know you'll be opening yourself up to other people's criticism or unfounded opinions.
I hope you guys enjoy this one and find it helpful!💚
