FAIR certification of repositories and other data services, chaired by Hylke Koers, SURFsara and Ilona von Stein, DANS
Objectives
This session is primarily aimed at people who are directly involved with data repositories and other data services, yet of course extends a warm welcome to the wider community of people taking an active interest in these topics. Within the broader area of certification and assessment for data repositories and services, topics of particular interest will include:
evaluation of CoreTrustSeal and its implications for maturity modelling;
assessment of FAIRness of datasets in trustworthy repositories; and
FAIR assessment framework for data services extending beyond repositories.
After presenting recent outputs from the FAIRsFAIR project on these topics, we will actively engage the public to solicit feedback and gather input to inform next steps towards delivering valuable and actionable recommendations.
