Hey guys, welcome back to NGB 2.0 and in this video I want to show you how you can sharpen a blurry image in GIMP. Now it's actually super easy to sharpen a blurry image in the GIMP editor. So without further delay, let's get started and see how you can do this. Now to demonstrate this, I've already imported a demo image in the GIMP editor. So this is my demo image present right here. And as you can see,
this image is a little bit blurry. Now to sharpen an image in GIMP, you need to first go to the 'Filters' menu and inside 'Filters' you need to go to 'Enhance' and inside 'Enhance' you will find this 'Sharpen' option which is present right here. So you need to click on this option. Now the moment you click on 'Sharpen', you will see this 'Sharpen' dialog open up right here. And there are three main options inside the 'Sharpen' dialog,
'Radius', 'Amount' and 'Threshold'. Now we are mostly interested in the 'Radius' and 'Amount' option. So currently the value inside the 'Radius' option is 3.000. So you need to decrease the value inside the 'Radius' option a little bit. So let me just decrease the value and set the 'Radius' option to somewhere around 2.490. And you need to increase the value inside the 'Amount' option.
So currently the value inside the 'Amount' option is 0.500. So let me increase the value inside the 'Amount' option to somewhere around, let's say, let's say 1.470. Alright, this looks good. Now let me just show you the difference, alright. So this is how my image was looking earlier. And this is how it is looking after I sharpened it.
Alright, and you can check the 'Preview' and accordingly you can actually adjust the values inside the 'Radius' and 'Amount' option. And once you're satisfied, you need to simply click on the 'OK' button. And that's it. So this is how you can sharpen a blurry image in the GIMP editor. Do let me know your thoughts in the comment section below, like the video and subscribe to my YouTube channel. I will again see you in the next video.
Till then, thanks for watching.
