Describing the relationship between different quantities and measures is a big part of science. Where the relationship can be expressed mathematically, there is a value to following a standard way of expressing that relationship.
A very flexible and universal attack process is to:
1. Identify what is being looked for.
2. Identify what is given.
3. Find a formula that relates what is given to what is asked for.
4. Plug in the values given.
5. Solve for the looked for value.
