China's private tutoring ban shut down my school
The education crackdown, formally called the "double reduction policy" has banned private tutoring in core school subjects on weekends and during holidays. These happen to be the only times when private tutoring centers like mine are able to work, so this policy has effectively banned private tutoring. My private tutoring company tried to survive in the aftermath, and failed.
