How to make a txt file on Mac

If you want to create a simple text file on a Mac without any formatting, this is how you do it.
Method 1 - Single file
1. Open up "Text Edit", "New document"
2. Go to "Format", "Make Plain Text"
3. Change to "Plain text"
Method 2 - Set as default
1. Open up "Text Edit".
2. Go to "Text Edit", "Preferences"
3. Go to "New document" and change to "Plain text"
Now, when you create a new document, it will automatically
turn into a txt-file from the start.
