Embark on an electrifying journey through FF7R Chapter 12, "Fight for Survival," expertly guided by cryogenicheart2019. Get ready for an experience even more gripping than the original FF7 on the PS1. Now, you're right in the thick of the action with the lively crew of Avalanche, rubbing shoulders with iconic NPCs like Biggs, Wedge, and Jessie.

As the cinematic intro crescendos, gear up for an epic showdown against the formidable Enigmatic Spectre and its Mysterious counterparts. Drawing parallels to the challenges faced in Chapter 3, the Enigmatic Spectre stands resilient, demanding strategic precision. Your mission: eliminate the elusive Mysterious Spectres first to weaken the enigma. When the cue arrives, shift your focus to the Enigmatic Spectre, unleashing Pressure-increasing attacks to Stagger it. Seize the moment and unleash a barrage of powerful moves, leaving the resilient foe in awe. Rinse and repeat this thrilling process until a cinematic cutscene signals the dramatic retreat of the enigmatic spectres, leaving you on the edge of your seat. Get ready for an unforgettable ride through the heart of the action!

After the encounter, proceed to the Sector 7 Slums, where Cloud, Aerith, and Tifa encounter Wedge. Join forces with Avalanche and, controlling Cloud, ascend the stairs on the right side following a cutscene.

Recommended Materia:
Equip Fire and Lightning Materia, with one linked to Elemental on Cloud's weapon.

Navigate the area, defeating Sentry Guns and Elite Security Officers. Ascend the stairs to face an Elite Grenadier and two Elite Riot Troopers. Focus on the Grenadier, then use Fire spells to Pressure and defeat the Riot Troopers. Proceed to locate Mysterious Spectres and Biggs after conversing with Biggs.

Following the helicopter cutscene with Reno and Rude, Tifa leaves Wedge and Aerith to join Cloud. Assume control of Aerith for the "Evacuation Orders" section.

Follow Wedge to reach Seventh Heaven and save Marlene. After a cutscene, run towards Sector 7 Slums, encountering members of the Watch. Head straight to Seventh Heaven for another cutscene.

Continue the path, rescue Betty, and reach Marle. Turn right, head down the main street against the flow, and trigger another cutscene. After being knocked down, follow the path, veer right, duck under debris, climb stairs, and open the front door of Seventh Heaven.

Behind the bar, turn right to find Marlene under the sink. Walk her outside, triggering another cutscene, and control shifts back to Cloud and Tifa.

In "To the Top," navigate through helicopter fire, using cover. Equip Magnify and Lightning in linked Materia slots. Traverse the area, climb stairs, defeat Slug-Rays, Sentry Guns, and reach the next level.

A cutscene with Jessie follows. Head left to encounter a new enemy, the Helitrooper. Use Fire and Wind against it, then find a chest with two Orbs of Gravity and two Slug-Rays.

Boss Fight Ahead: Recommended Materia and Equipment
Equip Wind, Poison, and Binding Materia, as the upcoming boss is weak to Poison and Wind and susceptible to Sleep. Equip Healing Materia (bound to Magnify) and other defensive Materia (Barrier is useful, especially paired with Barret’s defensive team abilities). Put Lightning and Elemental Materia in linked armor slots for your healer, and bind Poison to Synergy in linked Materia slots on another character. Gear your armor towards defending against magical damage. For Summons, bring Chocobo & Moogle, as they deal Wind damage.

Barret rejoins your party. Upgrade Barret's weapons and slot his Materia. Head upstairs to trigger a cutscene and commence the boss fight against Reno and Rude.

Boss: Reno and Rude - Phase 1
Reno, a Turks operative, is fast and agile. Magic and lightning attacks slightly affect his stagger gauge. Dodge his attacks, abuse Deadly Dodge, and stagger him by causing attacks to miss. Use Punisher Mode during Flashstrike, counter Wild Swings, and dodge EM Triple Shot. After enough damage, Reno exits, and Rude attacks with the helicopter.

During the bombing run, attack the helicopter, dodge bombs, and heal your party. Reno re-enters, casts Pyramid, and you must destroy it. After taking damage, Rude's helicopter crashes.

Boss: Reno and Rude - Phase 2
Engage both Reno and Rude simultaneously. Rude is weak to Wind and Poison and is susceptible to Sleep. Sleep Rude and focus on Reno. Strategies from Chapter 8 against Rude remain effective.

Play defensively, exploit Rude's weaknesses, and once Reno is dealt with, focus on Rude to end the fight.

After the fight, escape within 30 seconds. Turn left, find Tifa, approach her, and Barret discovers a quick way off the pillar, triggering a cutscene and marking the end of Chapter 12.
