I'm making a top down shooter multiplayer mobile game! In this video, I work on the game's main menu and match loop. This includes a loadout screen, weapon select screen, lobby, match timer, match scores, match start and end sequence, and more. I also polish the game up to prepare for public playtesting with TestFlight on IOS.

//long description
This is devlog #4 for my indie game, Ultimate Battle Arena. In this series I describe the game's development process, including all of the difficulties and successes. My game is very similar to Brawl Stars, but its better :). I start the video by designing a main menu, loadout screen, and weapon selection screen, meaning class creation is finally functional. The main menu also contains chest slots and a league progress bar for the future progression system. Next, I finish up the match loop by adding a match timer, score display, leaderboard, and death screen. In the second stage of the video, I polish the game to prepare for play testing. The first thing I needed to do was improve the bot AI so that bots can switch weapons based on the situation, stay close to their teammates, and reload when needed. Next I added sound effects and music. I also changed the graphic for kill confirmations, and I added double kills, assists, and kill streaks. Then I used the sprite shape controller to give the aim indicator a black outline and add a clear damage radius around the grenade. Finally, I play tested the game for the first time and implemented improvements based on feedback. One of these improvements was performance, which was difficult to fix
