This video gives two examples of how to define a distributed load as pressure using the load subroutine as well as the analytical field. This compassion shows there is no difference between the analytical field and Dload in defining distributed sinusoidal load but the Dload subroutine provides more flexibility.

First, in a PowerPoint file, the details of the model are explained as an introduction. next, the model is created in Abaqus using the analytical field option. The model is modified to use the Dload subroutine afterward. The Dload subroutine is explained and two "write" commands are placed to evaluate the results. The results are compared and showed there is no difference and they both calculate exact values. In the end, the reported results using Dload are shown to illustrate the capability of the Dload subroutine.
