Description:
Where to start if you're completely new to Go, some basic concepts, and how to use libraries to extend Go's functionality.
Bio: I started programming in BASIC on a Commodore 64 in the mid-eighties. I've spent most of my career with the City of Chattanooga's IT Department, where I currently lead our Web Application Development team. My primary areas of expertise are in LAMP/LEMP server environments and Docker. Recently, a few of my cohorts and I have started a company that provides WordPress-as-a-Service; we strive to make the world's leading CMS accessible to people who need more flexibility than is offered by WordPress.com without the hassle of the self-hosted model.
