This video series will focus on the understanding from Scripture that there is only one God and help one to understand God's singularity in light of the distinctions between Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.

This intro video will answer the questions: Is it important to understand who God is and if so, why? Can we truly believe in someone if we don't have a clue who they are? What difference do the details make regarding what we believe about God, as long as we believe in "God?" Is it important to understand who Jesus is and if so, why? Can we be saved if we don't know who Jesus is?

According to Jesus and the apostles, we can't be saved if we don't know who Jesus is. In John 8:24, Jesus told the Pharisees that if they didn't believe he was I Am, they would die in their sins. Romans 10:12-16 helps us to see that we can't call upon the name of the Lord to be saved if we first don't hear about him. They must first hear about who he is through hearing the gospel the apostles preached under the New Covenant. 2 Corinthians 11:3-4 is powerful by letting us know that it is possible to believe in "another Jesus" than who the apostles preached. He also mentions the possibility of receiving "another spirit" that wasn't of God and "another gospel" that the apostles didn't preach. Galatians 1:8-9 warns of the dangers of receiving or believing another gospel than what the apostles preached.

We must believe what the apostles taught! 1 John 4:6 helps us to see how we can know whether someone is of God or not. We can know the spirit of truth from the spirit of error by learning whether or not someone believes what the apostles taught regarding the doctrine of Christ. If someone believes in "another Jesus" than who the apostles preached and testified of, then they have not been born again and are still in their sins. What Jesus have you been baptized into? We learn that baptism must be accompanied by faith (Mark 16:15-16). The gospel (repentance, water baptism, receiving the Holy Spirit) must be obeyed from the heart according to Romans 6:16-18. We must believe the gospel with all of our heart, understanding and believing that Jesus of Nazareth is the Christ the Son of God (recognizing that this speaks of the deity of Jesus Christ). Acts 19:1-6 helps us to learn of the importance of being baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ after hearing the details of the gospel under the New Covenant.

We must have faith in the biblical Jesus in order to be born again! Jesus is God manifest in the flesh and we will learn in this series that this confirms the deity of Jesus Christ. Jesus is God very God made flesh. We haven't had faith in the biblical Jesus if we deny the deity of Christ. Jehovah's Witnesses, Mormons, and Unitarians all deny the deity of Jesus Christ and so even if they were to get baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, they would be getting baptized into "another Jesus" than who the apostles preached. If your understanding of Jesus affects how you got baptized, causing you to believe baptism in the name of Jesus Christ is incomplete, then you aren't believing in the biblical Jesus. Man-made labels such as Trinity, Oneness, Unitarian, etc... are best avoided to define what we believe because they all come with varied opinions of how they actually view Jesus. We will learn more about these man-made labels and compare them with what God's Word establishes. It's extremely important to understand who Jesus is and this series will examine what God's Word declares regarding Who, Where, and What is God; while receiving revelation from the Scriptures regarding the identity of Jesus Christ as God incarnate (manifest in the flesh).

I pray this series is a blessing to you as you consider what is presented in this entire series as you open God's Word for deeper study.
