A return to the depot at Columbus, WI after 5 months! Railfanning the CPKC Watertown Sub

On this mid December day we went out to the CPKC Watertown Sub where we would see Amtrak #1333, Amtrak #8, and CPKC 149. Today tho we wanted to head back to the Columbus, WI depot to see how much progress the station project has made since the last time we were here in July. But before that we caught Amtrak #1333 north of the depot so after we saw 1333 we headed to the depot. This project has been going on since May and it has been really slow. They made significant progress during the fall months adding new platforms, lamp posts, and yellow lines for the platforms. It looks like a station you would see in suburban areas but this is a city with 5,000 for its population with the biggest city from there being Madison, WI which is about 15 miles from there. Unlike the previous times I went here we couldn't go on the platforms but now they opened to the platform to the north side of the station and we decided to shoot some trains here once again after a long period of it being constructed.
