On a cloudy day we adventured out on to the CN Waukesha Sub to start the year off for catching action on the CN. The day started off at Fond Du Lac, WI where we came across a Ex Citirail ES44AC leading a tanker train. The Ex Citirail had a P5 for a horn instead of a raised letter K5HL which I was surprised about. Its old horn must've gotten replaced so it was cool to see one of these units with a different horn for change especially a nice sounding one like a P5. Then we headed over to Byron, Wi where we would see two trains. The first one was a southbound manifest making its way up the hill with a CN 100th anniversary leading, a AC44C6M, and one of the few CN SD70ACes thats out there CN 8100. The other train was CN L508 the Lomira local returning back to the shops. This made for another interesting and cool moment when both trains met just like last year which I really do like a meet once in a while especially when you are on a bridge.
