Did you know Signs uses real crop circles? M. Night Shyamalan was unhappy about the CGI required for the aliens, so he used practical effects wherever else he could. When it came to the film’s crop circles, he had forty acres of corn grown in time for shooting before crafting the circles manually. What’s more, the local agricultural school was so impressed by the irrigation systems used to grow the corn, they began studying the film’s techniques in class!
