Launched in 2018, CekFakta is a collaboration between Indonesian media, journalists, and fact-checkers to fight the spread of mis and disinformation. To date, they have trained over 36,900 fact checkers.
Led by AMSI (The Indonesian Association of CyberMedia), AJI (The Alliance of Independent Journalists), and MAFINDO (The Indonesian Anti Slander Society), and with the support of the Google News Initiative, CekFakta.com is increasing the capacity of media to fact-check and verify information from Aceh to Papua.
