Our plant was kept outdoors, alongside the other flowering plants. There was no need to feed it artificially because it was fed by insects on its own. Optimum temperature during the growing season is from + 25-35 C.
Sarracenia has no need in fertilizing, because all the nutrients they’ll need will come from their own ability to trap pray within the pitchers. The plant can digest as many insects as they fit into each pitcher. If the plant is constantly kept indoors and does not have the opportunity to catch an insect, then it is necessary to feed it once a month from April to September. Digestion takes from two days to a month depending on the size of the insect.
