hello everyone,
there are privacy screen protectors and then there are glass screen protectors, what I am going to review today, is a combination of both.
the package comes with the screen protector, a wet and a dry cleaning fibre and a dust removing sticker.
Let’s see how to put these on.
First open the wet cleaning fibre marked with the number 1 on it, this is alcohol based, so it removes persistent smudge marks and dries up quickly.
then open the dry cleaning fibre to remove any leftover residue and moisture.
Now use the dust removal sticker, to remove any partials. you can later use this on the adhesive side of the screen protector if you accidently cause any dust particles to settle on that.
Now, remove the film from the glass screen protector, align it accurately along the cut outs for the ear piece and the home button and stick it.
I am viewing this through the camera and I dont have the most steady of hands, still, I am able to get it done correctly on my first attempt. this shows how easy it is.
The advantage of having a glass screen protector is, it is very easy to apply and more importantly, you don’t get those annoying air or dust bubbles.
The advantage of having a privacy screen protector is, though you have a clear view of what is on your phone's display, the person next to you, will see nothing on your phone's display.
the viewing angle on the iPhone super resolution IPS display is very good. Good viewing angles on a TV is good to have, but on something as private as your phone, good viewing angles are definitely not needed. this screen protector will help you with that.
I have an iPod touch with me here to compare. the brightness on both the phone and the iPod are set to their maximums. But the camera's white balance is diming it for you.
Now when I tilt the two devices, you can see that text on the ipod's display is still readable, but the iphone's screen looks like it has been turned off.
This is not a gimmick or a camera trick. let me show it to you from a different angle. you can see both display's clearly now, as I tilt it over, the iphone's display becomes blank.
if I turn it back towards you, you can see it again.
The reason for this is, the glass of the screen protector has minuet gradients on it which are perpendicular to the phone's display. so it looks transparent from a 90 degree angle, but starts to become opaque when there is a deviation in the angle.
you can head over to the link in the description to buy one of these. Thanks for watching, take care.
