This segment of a series of videos on Vladimir Putin focuses on the way he has been seen by the US top political leaders after George Bush on the one hand, and the way he has been seen in Russia. Moreover, a sharp cultural divide is widening in the perceptions of the political establishment of both countries. Western leaders, who used to call Yeltsin a friend, and praised Russian democracy, have turned virulently anti-Russian and anti-Putin since 2007. The Russians, who used to want to have everything as in America, do not want to emulate the West anymore. The Russian elites reject US hegemony, claims to democracy, woke and Gay culture, and are increasingly inspired by Russian national traditions.
