Whether beginner or expert, there are different techniques and strategies for getting the most out of samples. You can use free raw samples, or sample packs, expansions or full sampled instruments. Each have their advantages and place in the composition process. In this video, I walk through the advantages or each technique, each source of samples, examining how to use them, tweak them and make music. I provide demo’s and examples each step of the way.

This makes a useful tutorial if you’re new to sampling, plus it highlights the various vendors offering sampled instruments and bundles.
