Restoration ANTIQUE Handcraft Powder Box
Hi! Today, the restoration of an antique handmade powder box of the 19th century. This item was purchased and found in France. The thing is unique and beautiful. I see this thing for the first time, I found information on the Internet. It's this powder box. The condition of the item is average. One part is ruined, there are dents. It's a handcrafted powder box. Okay, I'm starting to recover this item.
First, I tried to clean the surface with detergents and tooth powder. The contents of the compact are strange, some kind of cement or mortar that has petrified. I barely cleaned it with the help of a boron machine.
I decided to replace the ruined parts of the powder box with a new one made of brass. I made a copy of the primitive drawing and carefully broke it out. Next, I cut out a new brass circle and soldered it with silver around the circle.
I cut out the new drawing with a metal cutter and darkened it. Next, I made chain links and a small spoon out of thin brass wire of the desired diameter. After that, I processed everything manually.
