When I was filming Malyak, I kept thinking how much strength, courage and character this little girl had! Her mother abandoned her and her sisters and sent them to an orphanage.
Until the age of 14, Malyak lived in an orphanage for disabled people, until her adoptive mother Tatyana Knyazeva took her and her sisters into the family. Malyak could not walk, she moved in a wheelchair. But first the teachers at the orphanage, and then the foster parents, taught her to walk. And to the surprise of many, she very soon began playing tennis, first for herself, and then professionally. She was noticed by a coach who took her to the team. She began to win regional, then city and regional competitions. So I joined the Paralympic team. And now in Tokyo at the Paralympic Games she has already won a silver medal. Now she is preparing for the Paralympic Games in Paris, which will be held in 2024. Let's wish Malyak only victory!
