Please read the description first. Circuit of a precision potentiometer (made with 3 potentiometers, more info in the video) that can align voltages in the order of 1 MilliVolt, as far as I know that is 1/1000 of a Volt. I rely on the schematic of the book.

It is made with 3 normal (“classical”) potentiometers, say with a 1% to 5 % tolerance; they are everywhere available on the www & shops that sell electronic components.

Please note: the values that I show in the schematic are “projected” values by me, they seem (to me) a good first idea to do experiments and see how you can integrate this precision potentiometer circuit into an electronic circuit. Test & change their values to your own needs.

I think it can work properly in DC amplifiers or laboratory circuits and, like I tell, in all cases where very tiny voltages have to be aligned in an analog way. So precision circuits.

Perhaps more to come on my YT Channel in the future, when I want to do more experiments with this setup (using that precision potentiometer in a squarewave oscillator, that must work up to 1 MC, showed in this video).

It is from the book (Dutch title) “Voorbeeldschakelingen meetapparatuur”, translation “example circuits of measuring equipment”. Originally in the German language, translated to Dutch, a book of the 1980’s.

Does it have to be a problem to align 3 potentiometers instead of 1? No, when you make good scales and indications. Within a short time of experiments (using it in reality) you will get very handy, aligning to 1/1000 of a Volt.

My You Tube channel trailer is here:    • Radiofun232 on YouTube. Updated month...

I cannot immerse that link directly in the description of this video (or other video's that I want to upload to Google = YouTube) because of shadow banning of Google/Youtube.

They don't want that you go to my channel trailer. Because I am and was critical about the Covid jabs (2020-up to now 2024), the functioning of the EU and the ECB Bank, the endless support of the war in Ukraïne by the EU/UK/VS, and much more.

When you search, search always “NEWEST FIRST” to get the right overview. You can also search via the “looking glass” on my Channel trailer via keywords like ”audio”, “radio”, “amplifier”, “filter”, “Shortwave”, “transistor”, “FET”, “oscillator”, “generator”, “switch”, “schmitt trigger” etc; so the electronic subject you are interested in.

My books about electronics & analog radio technology are available via the website of “LULU”, search for author “Ko Tilman” there.

Direct link to these books is here https://www.lulu.com/search?adult_aud...

Search there, and avoid my circuits that are republished, re-arranged, re-edited on other websites, giving not probable re-wiring, etc. Some persons try to find gold via my circuits. I take distance from all these fake claims. I cannot help that these things happen. Upload 18 October 2024.

Talking about that square wave oscillator (showed now & here) with that Chip (the 74 HCT 4046) the setup with 3 potmeters worked quite good. It was able to precise regulate the frequency out (not ideal, it could be better, but anyway, no "jumps" in the frequency regulation any longer) with 2 potmeters of 5 K (P1 and P2) and 1 potmeter (P3) of 50 K. Situation 18 Oct. 2024. I want to do somewhat more elaboration, anyway, that setup worked OK.

That frequency fine tune potentiometer (consisting of 3 of them, like showed here) is now connected between pin 12 and earth/ground/minus to that 74HCT 4046 VCO Chip. Frequency fine tuning is possible now, via 3 potmeters. More info in the future, perhaps, when doing more experiments. Situation 19 Oct. 2024.
