In this segment of Issues of Contemporary Politics with Dr. Brovkin I discuss the history of American attempts to weaken Russia, subvert it, surround it with NATO countries and ultimately inflict a strategic defeat as an official policy. This started with the first expansion of NATO in 1997 and it failed in 2024 when Russian victory against NATO in Ukraine cannot be stopped.
Dr.Brovkin is an American Professor of Russian History, a student of Stephen Cohen at Princeton and a former Professor of Soviet History at Harvard University, now retired an author of numerous articles and books on Russian politics and history.
