Welcome to the ultimate guide on Sea of Conquest strategy, tips, and tricks for mastering close combat! If you're struggling to defeat opponents with higher combat power, this guide is for you. Close combat in Sea of Conquest, especially in modes like Rogue Rumble and Trials, can be a game-changer if you know the right strategies.
Understanding Close Combat
Close combat in Sea of Conquest differs significantly from Naval Warfare. Here, battles depend entirely on your heroes, without considering ships or damage types like strategic or cutthroat.
Hero Skills:
Naval Warfare Skills: Found on the left, such as 336% strategic damage to 5 ships.
Close Combat Skills: Found on the right, like 400% of Griffin's attacks on all enemies.
In Rogue Rumble, auto-battle is mandatory, but in Trials, you can manually control the combat for a more strategic approach. We'll soon release a video demonstrating manual combat techniques.
Key Strategies for Close Combat
1. Prioritize Legendary Heroes:
Higher Stats: Legendary heroes have significantly better stats than epic and rare ones. For example, a level 200 legendary hero has 750 more strength and 300 more constitution than an epic hero.
Increased Damage and HP: Each point of strength and constitution translates to more damage and HP, making legendary heroes much more effective in battle.
2. Focus on Multi-Target Damage:
Hero Selection: Choose heroes who can attack multiple targets over those who can only hit one. For example, Lester's skill deals 400% damage to all enemies, whereas Molly's deals 460% damage to just one.
Total Damage Output: Despite a higher percentage, single-target heroes like Molly may not be as effective as multi-target heroes like Lester, who can deal up to 2000% total damage.
3. Analyze Battle Reports:
Damage Potential: Use battle reports to identify your top damage dealers. For instance, Griffin might deal over 130,000 damage in a battle, making him a valuable asset.
Hero Comparisons: Compare your heroes' damage to your opponent's. Even if your opponent's Lester deals similar damage, you can still win by leveraging your other heroes' strengths.
4. Optimize Hero Roles:
Damage Dealers Over Healers: In many close battles, damage dealers outperform healers. Limiting healers to one or two maximizes your damage output.
Top Heroes: Griffin and Lester consistently deliver high damage. Other reliable damage dealers include Ophelia, Boa, Adeline, and Luna. Bones is particularly strong at rank four due to his free skill launches. Ahab is crucial for his shield, enhancing your team's survivability.
Picking the Right Opponent
Combat Power (CP) and Hero Combinations:
CP Considerations: While CP is a key indicator, it's not the only factor. Avoid opponents with high CP and strong hero combos like Griffin and Lester.
Strategic Choices: Choose opponents whose key heroes are at lower ranks or absent. Even if their CP is higher, a weak hero combo gives you an edge.
Risk Assessment: If an opponent's CP is 30% higher than yours, it's a risky challenge. However, with the right hero setup and strategy, you can still win.
By following these strategies, you can master close combat in Sea of Conquest, turning the tide even against stronger opponents. For more detailed guides and updates, stay tuned to our channel. Happy battling!
