Welcome to the Meta Instincts channel! In today's video, we'll dive into the latest Sea of Conquest update that introduces the Angling Event. Learn how to fish like a pro and grab all the free rewards, including conchs, cigars, speedups, and hero experience, every week. Follow our comprehensive guide for mastering the Angling Event and maximizing your rewards.
Understanding the Angling Event
The Angling Event in Sea of Conquest is a fishing game where players can earn various rewards. Here's a step-by-step guide to getting started:
Throwing the Bait: Click the yellow button to cast your bait into the sea.
Catching the Fish: Once a fish bites, tap and hold the yellow button to increase the rod tension to the optimal position within the bracket. Release and hold the button as needed to keep the tension within the optimal range.
Managing Tension: Keep an eye on the tension bar. If the tension is too high, the string will snap, and the fish will escape. If it's too low, the fish will also escape.
Fishing Mechanics: Each fish has different weight and quality, impacting its hit points and the fishing time. Use your fishing rod to reduce the fish's hit points to zero. Better rods help you fish faster and more efficiently.
Fishing Rewards
Auto-Sell or Keep: After catching the fish, you can either auto-sell it for approximately 15 fish coins and some gold or keep it as an ingredient in the Galley.
Angling Pass: Complete daily and weekly missions to raise your overall level and unlock additional rewards, including chests with decent rewards. Completing these missions daily is essential.
Fishing Gear
There are currently four types of fishing gear:
Legendary Beast Bone Rod
Thick Wooden Rod
Elite Racing Rod
Rare Classic Rod
Obtaining Gear: The Beast Bone Rod is available through the Angling Pass or Bundles, while other rods can be acquired for free from the Angling Pass.
Rod Quality: Higher-quality rods cause more damage. For example, a level 20 Thick Wooden Rod inflicts more damage than a level 27 Racing Rod.
Rod Effects: Each rod has unique effects, such as increasing rampage damage. Use fragments from the same named rod to increase the rod's rank up to 30 stars. Obtain rods first before using fragments.
Leveling Up: Use Angler's Stones, obtainable from the Angling Pass and Shop, to level up rods. Prioritize legendary rods for leveling up to reduce fishing time.
Fish Cards
Fish cards are obtained from the Angling Pass, not by catching fish. For example, reaching level 35 in the Angling Pass grants you 2 Golden Bird Fish cards. These cards can also be purchased with Gold from the Angling Shop. Fish cards enhance a fish by increasing its weight, damage, and score, allowing for quicker mission completion.
Fish Coins
Fish coins are the most exciting item from the Angling Event. By completing the event, you can earn up to:
8 Hymm Conchs
20 Echo Conchs
20 Master Pipes
40 Royal Cigars
120 hours of construction and stargaze speedup
Hero experience
To acquire all items except wood and stone, you need 17,400 fish coins weekly. While selling fish alone won't yield enough coins, completing daily and weekly missions from the Angling Pass provides sufficient coins. Here's a breakdown:
Daily Mission Chest: 2000 coins, accumulating up to 14,000 coins if completed daily.
Weekly Mission Chest: 4000 coins.
Angling Pass Rewards: Up to 2000 free coins.
In total, you can obtain 20,000 free coins to get these items for free. Additionally, you can exchange Gold for fish coins if any missions are missed.
By following these tips and strategies, you'll be well-equipped to excel in the Angling Event in Sea of Conquest. Happy fishing!
