ATOMIC BOMB: Could the Hiroshima Mission Have Failed?
We accompany the “Little Boy” atomic bomb to the island of Tinian in the Pacific to look at the challenges that still lay ahead in delivering the bomb to target and getting it to work. As we’re going to see, the destruction of Hiroshima was by no means a sure thing. We explore the various factors that could have resulted in the failure of the Hiroshima mission, and how the A-bomb could have ended up being a dud.
