Family sues hospital, claiming long wait times caused toddler's death
A heartbreaking tragedy has led one family to take legal action against Albany Med Health System, alleging negligence and unhurried care led to their three-year old son’s death.
The McManus family filed the lawsuit in January after their son Micah died on November 30, 2022 after being in the emergency room at Albany Med for 17 hours.
Micah’s mother, Keri-Sue, felt his death could have been prevented if her concerns for her ailing son were taken seriously, having initially taken him to get checked out days before.
