The Hole Wizard tool is a vital asset to any seasoned SOLIDWORKS user and helps save time doing otherwise mundane and time-consuming tasks. In this video we will learn how to use the hole series feature. Much like the hole wizard feature, we can create specific holes in different measurement systems with varying sizes and custom parameters for every part of the hole. However, the hole series function operates at an assembly level and holes can extend through multiple parts. When the hole series feature is used, special care should be used ensuring that the part is mated correctly. When relations are changed later in the assembly process, an assembly can quickly become broken if special attention is not given towards the construction of the model.
