David Bowie's life appeared as if he were not of this world. This was already the case in 1971, when he first received wide artistic recognition with his album "Hunky Dory." "Life on Mars?" is rightly considered an artpop milestone. Of course not prog in the narrower sense, but without question groundbreaking.
