I've talked about the buildings blocks of shaders, and now it's time to start putting those things together to create some effects you might want in-game! This is a simple blur effect, which you might consider using for things like transitions between screens, fading out objects into obscurity, clouding the game world behind UI like a pause menu, or plenty of other things!
After this video I'll be moving on to using shaders in 3D games for a while, but there are a ton of other image processing effects you can create with the fragment shader ("Photoshop filters") so I could explain some others in the future if people are interested int hat sort of thing.
