The Genesis brand recently announced that a new version of the GV70 model will soon be put into production. It announced that production is expected to begin in the second half of 2026 and that it could be officially launched by the end of 2026 or early 2027. The price of the new car is expected to be higher than the current model. In addition, this new car will compete with models such as the Volvo XC60, Cadillac XT5 and Audi Q5L in the future.
Initially, Genesis planned to launch electric vehicles only after 2025. However, as competition in the electric vehicle market has become increasingly fierce, rapid changes in market conditions have forced Genesis to reexamine its strategy.
Genesis is reportedly developing a hybrid version of the GV70 model equipped with a range-extending power system. This power system is similar to the L7 and other models. GV70 will be the first model to use the extended-range power system within the Hyundai Group, and the power system is expected to be applied to more models within the group in the future.

The large-size wheels add a new style and once again strengthen the sense of fashion. At the rear of the car, the double horizontal bar taillights will of course remain unchanged. There is a large spoiler on the roof, the body lines are rounded and distinct, and the dual exhaust outlets on both sides of the rear bumper are formed into a unique polygon. The structure increases the sense of individuality. Inside, the overall layout of the new car has not changed much, probably Genesis thinks it is perfect enough and does not need to be changed, just replaced it with a large-sized LCD screen with a dual-pass. It has a very technological meaning. A significant improvement, the screen area is expected to reach about 27 inches.
Of course, the new car has optimized the details of the air conditioning outlet, the shape of the steering wheel and other details to match the screen setting. There is also a new interior color scheme that is still quite eye-catching. In terms of power, the new car will not have any obvious adjustments.
