If suddenly you are getting lot of spam emails in your gmail account then what you do is, open the Gmail application and go to this more option here. Then you have to go to this "settings" option. Go to the gmail account. Go to "Notifications". If you have selected this option All for Notifications, then make sure to select "Hight Priority only". After that go back to your Gmail inbox and you can open the emails and you can unsubscribe from the emails if you don't want to receive further email. Like for me I select Unsubscribe and then select Confirm Unsubscribtion so that particular email account will not send you any email further.
