Another FFXVI short gameplay video since they dropped another patch for the demo~ We're now on version 1.02 on Steam, with some improvements on gameplay stability. Stuttering issue was the main concern for most players even with a high-end rig and they addressed it with this patch.
Here's the entirety of the Stillwind chapter of the game. For someone who's stuck with just a 4GB VRAM graphics card, I can definitely say there's an improvement-- it's not perfect, but it's pretty stable now for the most part. Cheers to CSIII!
If you have the same specs as mine or have a similar laptop, use this gameplay video as a reference. Some important notes below 👇👇
NOTES:
🔹Keep in mind that Square & CSIII is still optimizing the Steam release, and there might be more performance enhancing patches before the official release next week. I'm playing the version 1.02 patch.
🔹There is STILL some memory leaks, and horrible fps drops on cutscenes. There's a mod to temporary unlock the framerate for the cutscenes, which I used in this video. Thanks to Lyall for the FFXVIfix on Github.
🔹DLSS 3 now works well even on Quality mode even on a mediocre graphics card like my 3050 mobile. No FG but gameplay is almost smooth even on Medium to High settings.
🔹 If you experience lag on areas with lots of reflection (like water) better turn off Screen Space Reflections like I did. It's not even noticeable.
