This LONG tutorial takes you through all of the steps necessary to learn how to convert your art assets or projects from popular engines such as Unity or Cry Engine over to Unreal Engine 4. I recommend watching it on 1.5x as I talk fairly slowly. This tutorial also covers some tricks on how to save texture memory by combining your Roughness, Metallic and Ambient Occlusions maps into a single texture and how to set up a Master Material inside of Unreal 4 and utilizing Material Instances to decrease your memory footprint even further. Finally I show you how to apply your materials to a mesh and go through the different options for generating collision meshes (including per poly collision) for your mesh.
If you have some art assets that you've been selling on the Unity Asset Store and want to bring them over to the Unreal Marketplace, this video is for you!
