What I use to build amazing websites:
Elementor (the best WordPress page builder): https://be.elementor.com/visit/?bta=2...
Awesome, affordable hosting (the server your website needs to exist): https://www.hostg.xyz/SHBd2

Local WP (the software that allows you to install WordPress locally on your computer - no hosting needed): https://localwp.com/

Whether you're a website designer or a website developer, you should know the basics of both website design and website development. It's going to make you better at what you do and it's going to make working on projects with others much easier for everyone involved.

If you're a designer, knowing how websites get built can help you avoid designing things that are way more difficult to develop than a similar, equally viable solution. It will help you use design elements, such as colors, gradients and graphics with more purpose, rather than just using them as filler because you're not sure how to make the website more interesting.

This will help you manage projects better and make sure the development process is faster and more efficient.

If you're a developer, you need to be able to make design decisions as you're building websites. You won't get handed everything every time. For example, when it comes to responsiveness, it's not uncommon for the designer to only send you the design for desktops. Even if they send you the mobile design as well, it might only include certain parts, such as headers or footers. And when it comes to tablets, designers tend to just skip those entirely.

Which means you need to be able to adapt things for different devices and screen resolutions without needing input on every padding, margin and line height you weren't explicitly given. You also need to be able to make sure the content you get handed looks good on every device. Which means you need to know how to optimize images.

For designers, I recommend you build a website with WordPress and Elementor. It's going to challenge you and you're going to learn the basic logic of building websites and the basics of how things get put together. For developers, I recommend you design a website or two with Figma. You should also prepare some content yourself, including the text, images and icons, to really get a feel of what the process is like.

No matter what your role is in the process of creating websites, knowing how to do other things related to your field will make you a far better professional.
