Esperance Historic Homesteads - trailer
History lovers and Esperance fans, this ones for you! We've produced a documentary series called Esperance Historic Homesteads, about the history of the region through the eyes of those who came before us - both First Nations and European. It'll be focussed on many of the old homesteads and the stories associated with these places.🏚🎬
Jennene Riggs is producing and editing the series, and is interviewing descendants of the early settlers. Co-developed together with historian Karli Florisson, who's researching and writing the stories, it will also feature old photographs, newspaper articles, artworks and journal entries, and additional stunning footage from Dan Paris and Dave Riggs.
This series wouldn't be possible without our project partners the Mt Burdett Foundation, and the generous support of the Heritage Council of Western Australia, The Shire of Esperance, The Esperance Museum, and The Rotary Club of Esperance Bay.
