You will need tools and materials -
Old leather trouser belt;
Hinge lubricant;
A regular screwdriver;
Hammer:
Scissors.
How to restore washing machine shock absorbers:
Disconnect the washing machine from the electrical network and water supply;
Turn the washing machine on its side;
If necessary, remove the rear panel;
Locate the shock absorbers, which are usually located at the bottom of the washing machine tub.
Check the shock absorbers for damage, fluid leaks and general wear. If shock absorbers are worn or damaged, they require replacement.
Using a screwdriver and hammer, disconnect the shock absorbers from the tank and the base of the machine. Typically, shock absorbers are attached using bolts or latches.
Disassemble the shock absorbers and replace the synthetic cylinder seal with a leather one cut from a trouser belt.
Lubricate the leather cuff and reassemble the shock absorber in reverse order.
Install the rebuilt shock absorber onto the tank and base of the washing machine.
