COVID APP
This team in Brisbane have invented an app they say can diagnose COVID-19 using coughs. Five coughs to be exact into a smartphone microphone which then uses an algorithm that analyses the sound of a patient's cough for signs of the virus. Doctors already use a version of the app to help diagnose other conditions like asthma. But to have detecting COVID approved more trials need to happen which is probably why one of the world's biggest pharmaceutical companies Pfizer have offered $100 million to buy it.
