After 31 years of growth, Agribank is the top state-owned commercial bank in Vietnam and the only one where the government owns all of the charter capital. With approximately 40,000 workers and nearly 2,300 branches across the whole country of Vietnam, Agribank is the only commercial bank operating in 9 out of the 13 island districts. Agribank's total assets as of September 30, 2019, were VND 1,398,110 billion; mobilized capital was VND 1,285,356 billion; and credit and investment were above VND 1,120,000 billion. Over 70% of total loans and more than 50% of the market share for agricultural and rural credit in Vietnam are always made up of outstanding loans for agriculture and rural regions.
