Professor Cammenga discussed the Protestant Reformed Church and its distinctives in the Reformed world on covenant, election, reprobation, common grace and the well-meant free offer of the Gospel, the latter two held by the OPC, PCA, and ARP. We expect indifferentism amongst American Anglicans, not to mention the apostate CoE, nor to mention the default position of Arminianism with the Anglican Church of North America. "Jacob have I loved" and "Esau I have hated" still governs from Creation through the fall until the consummation. Prof. Cammenga postulated as a day-in-day-out operation of Psalm 7.11: "God judgeth the righteous, And God is angry with the wicked every day" and Psalm 5.5-6: "5 The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity. 6 Thou shalt destroy them that speak leasing: the Lord will abhor the bloody and deceitful man." Romans 1.18ff, natural revelation with the elect and reprobate, along with Romans 9 were discussed along with other texts, e.g.. Isaiah 6 and the hardening of the hearers. The doctrine of common grace has invited the world into the church, has softened up to mush the heinousness and sinfulness of sin, and has hindered Law and Gospel preaching. The PRC has a prophetic voice even as a smaller denomination. This was a most cordial, most welcome, most instructive and most encouraging. May young PRC men take up the ministry of the Word and sacrament at this most excellent school. American Anglicans need to send their ordinands there for excellent training and their current crop of Bishops to the Protestant Reformed Theological Seminary for "recalibration." The same for postulants and ordinands in the Reformed world. They have a website where excellent volumes can be had at: https://rfpa.org/. Similarly the school and denomination has websites.
